S. Scott Perkins, Esq. is the principal attorney at Perkins and Perkins with over 40 years’ professional and courtroom experience. He is a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School where he was inducted into its athletic hall of fame. At Colgate University, he was a nationally-ranked Division I wrestler, team captain, and a U.S. Olympic team training camp invitee.

Mr. Perkins received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (Franklin Pierce Law Center) and is admitted to practice before all courts of New York State, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell “Distinguished”℠  professional rating from the nation’s premier attorney peer review organization (martindale.com).

His civic involvement has included various community, board, and leadership positions as well as military service as a court-martial trial counsel with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Army Reserve. He has also served as a Special Prosecutor and, since 2011, as a part-time Assistant District Attorney with the Office of the District Attorney of Saratoga County.

Cindy Leadley Perkins, Esq. is a native of the Adirondack Mountains region. An honors graduate of Binghamton University, Mrs. Perkins attended the University of New Hampshire School of Law (Franklin Pierce Law Center), completing her legal education through clerkship under the auspices of the New York State Court of Appeals. 

She is the recipient of Franklin Pierce Law Center’s first Citation of Outstanding Achievement in recognition of her professional accomplishments. A member of the Saratoga County Bar Association, Mrs. Perkins is admitted to practice before all courts of New York State and the Supreme Court of the United States. She continues to serve Perkins and Perkins as counsel to the firm although retired from active practice. 

George F. Perkins, Esq. (1917-1988) was the founder of Perkins and Perkins.

 

An Eagle Scout, he graduated from Saratoga Springs High School, attended Union College, and received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1951. Mr. Perkins was an Army Counter Intelligence Corps agent during World War II, later serving in combat in the Pacific Theater where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He was elected Saratoga Springs City Court Judge in 1960 and was engaged in the private practice of law until 1988, serving as a volunteer with many community, civic, and charitable organizations. In his later years, he was a competitive distance runner, winning numerous senior age group regional races culminating in a national age 70 and over 10K team championship title.
